ST Net supported the State Department technology migration from a variety of Windows operating systems (e.g., 95, 98, NT, 2000) to single Windows operating system platform (Windows XP). The State Department Foreign Service Institute required 160 of their technical support staff to receive A+ Certification training. Orange Technologies was selected as the winner of a competitive procurement. ST Net provided 8 sessions of A+ Certification training for Foreign Service Institute employees within the State Department and also international staff brought in from other countries. Each session was 10 days in length which consisted of 5 days of "Core Hardware" and 5 days of Operating System Technologies". All training was conducted at the USGFSI Training Center located at NFATC School of Applied Information Technology (SAIT). ST Net used our proven end-to-end integrated approach solution to respond to this training requirement permitting us to meet the diverse State Department end user community needs while satisfying State Department contract performance, within schedule, and the lowest costs. The tailored State Department training approach, shown in figure below, focused on tailoring the standard technical training to the State Department environment through our proven "custom teach" concept. This tailored training approach integrated the Windows XP technology, the State Department users' physical environment and current State Department work processes. By using practical exercises honed to the State Department user work environment, training presentation was greatly enhanced, easily applied and more interesting to the State Department training population. Our lifecycle approach, shown in figure below begins and ends with the State Department user, with our established training development and execution providing the tools to complete the course. Initially, we identified the training goals and requirements to address the "customer total training population." In the execution of this logical, life-cycle approach, ST Net also provided the necessary technical, management, and quality assurance processes coupled with the necessary support infrastructure to efficiently address the State Department Windows XP training tasks and perform the necessary management oversight, and control as well as the unique reporting required by the State Department contract. ST Net training was well received by State Department raining participants and ST Net received excellent ratings from the training attendees who participated in the State Department Windows XP training instruction.
